Zetta Carol Linder Mullanack
Seymour, Missouri
Zetta Carol Linder Mullanack of Seymour, Missouri, was received into the arms of her Lord and Savior on June 10, 2026, at the age of 82, surrounded by her loving children and family.
Born on March 26, 1944, in Davenport, Iowa, Zetta was the daughter of the late Arthur Divillo Linder and Eva Jerline Clinton Linder. She was one of nine sisters, growing up in a large and close-knit family that helped shape the woman she would become. The bond she shared with her sisters was one of the greatest blessings of her life, and she loved them deeply. Family was always at the center of Zetta's heart, and the love she shared with her sisters remained a source of strength, joy, and cherished memories throughout her life.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lonnie Mullanack, whose passing left her a widow. Though she experienced great loss throughout her life, her faith in God remained steadfast and carried her through every season.
Zetta was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her throughout her life. She was a precious daughter, a wonderful wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and faithful friend to all who knew her.
Zetta leaves behind a legacy rooted in faith, family, hard work, and self-sufficiency. She took great pride in teaching her children and grandchildren the skills of everyday life—gardening, canning, hunting, fishing, and finding joy in the outdoors. She loved camping beneath the stars, cooking over an open fire, and sharing meals prepared in her beloved Dutch ovens. Few things brought a bigger smile to her face than gathering with family, especially at the Linder Family Reunion, where she could share her passion for Dutch oven cooking and the traditions she cherished.
Zetta also had a deep love for music and dancing. Whether it was in her kitchen, around a campfire, or at a family gathering, she could often be found moving to the music with a smile on her face. Her love of dancing earned her the nickname "Happy Feet," a name that perfectly captured her joyful spirit and the happiness she brought to those around her.
A woman of many talents, Zetta was known for her strong work ethic and skilled hands. While raising her children, she owned and operated a restaurant for many years, where she shared her love of cooking with her community. Whether feeding family, friends, or customers, she found joy in bringing people together around a good meal. Her passion for cooking remained a constant throughout her life and was reflected in everything from her home-cooked family dinners to her beloved Dutch oven meals around a campfire.
She later spent many years working at SRC rebuilding engines before retirement. She was also gifted in woodworking and craftsmanship, creating beautiful pieces and running her own small shop for many years. She enjoyed participating in farmers markets and local community events, where she could share her creations and connect with others. Her creativity, determination, and pride in her work were evident in everything she did.
Zetta also spent several years working with Servpro, helping families and communities recover after natural disasters. Her servant's heart led her wherever help was needed, including traveling to New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina to assist with recovery efforts. She found purpose in helping others rebuild during some of their most difficult moments.
After retirement, Zetta and her life partner of 26 years, Bob Sewell, set out to fulfill a lifelong dream of traveling. Together they explored the United States and Mexico, spending winters at Snow to Sun in Texas and enjoying the beauty of Padre Island, where watching the dolphins became one of her favorite pastimes. The memories she made during those adventures became stories she lovingly shared with her family for years to come.
Above all else, Zetta's greatest accomplishment was her family. She was the heart and foundation of a large and beautiful family built on faith, love, and resilience. Her home was always open, her meals were always plentiful, and her love was given freely. She taught by example, showing those around her the value of hard work, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Generations of her family carry her lessons, traditions, and love with them today because she helped shape the family they have become.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Divillo Linder and Eva Jerline Clinton Linder; her husband, Lonnie Mullanack; her beloved son, Kelly Ellison; her cherished daughter, Kyla Collins; and her sisters, Joyce Dobbs, Moni Hicks, Billie Linder, and Tangela Brown.
She is survived by her life partner, Bob Sewell; her children, Joyce and Cody Ice, Troy Ellison of Houston, Missouri, Shawanna and Jesse Hanson of Diggins, Missouri, and Regina Cox of Houston, Missouri; her son-in-law, Tommy Collins; her daughter-in-law, Debra Ellison; her sisters, Winokona Lee and Bob Jones, Denney Henry, Edna Mae and Bob Schultz, and Shawanna and Harold Geisler; her grandchildren, Dusty Goforth, Staci Ice, Jaden Ice, Xander Ice, Katie McCall, Joshua Ellison, Nathan Ellison, Bradley Ellison, Crystal Ellison, Carol Ward, Jessica Hanson, Jasmine Hanson, Janelle Grimm, Paxton Cox, and Zetta Buchanan; 26 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
While her family grieves the loss of her presence, they find peace in knowing that she has been reunited in Heaven with her husband Lonnie, her son Kelly, her daughter Kyla, and many loved ones who went before her. Her faith has become sight, and she now rests in the eternal presence of her Savior.
Zetta will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her strength, her generous heart, her unwavering faith, and her remarkable work ethic. She was one of the hardest-working people you could ever meet, yet she always found time for family, laughter, music, dancing, and making memories. Her legacy will live on in every garden planted, every family meal shared, every campfire story told, every piece she crafted with her hands, and every life she touched.
To know Zetta was to know unconditional love, a warm meal, a helping hand, and a faith that never wavered. Her family will forever cherish the lessons she taught, the memories she created, and the love she poured into every life she touched.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
