Braxton Ray Smith, 10 years, 8 months, 5 days old, earned his angel wings due to an accident on June 25, 2021 in Taney County.

Braxton was born in Branson, Missouri to Cody and Kayla (Zibell) Smith. Braxton was an angel on Earth and a Christian.

Braxton had the heart of a cowboy and was truly loved by all he knew. Brax loved to be on the truck hauling cattle with his daddy. (Sometimes he even let his momma and Bubby go along for the ride.) His family and friends will miss his wit, loving nature, and of course his big sky blue eyes and big white smile. (That smile got him into trouble and out just as fast.) Braxton was an adventurer and packed more life into his much-too-brief ten years than most do in a life-time. He enjoyed riding horses, deer hunting, fishing, swimming, and basketball. If trophies were given for driving a 5-speed, Braxy would have won gold; he was so pumped about it.

Braxton was a student at Mark Twain School. His teachers, staff, and administration will probably forever be jealous of what his momma packed in his lunch everyday. (The boy got a little belly because of momma's delicious home cooking.) Brax was a good student, loved to read and be with his Mark Twain family.

Braxton was the big Bubs to his little brother, Hesston. He took his job very seriously and never disappointed him. Hess smiled and laughed biggest when Bubs was with him.

Braxton is survived by his mom and dad Kayla and Cody Smith of Protem, Mo, his brother, Hesston Leslie Smith, his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends and relatives.

Funeral services for Braxton will be Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cold Creek Cowboy Church in Ava, MO. Visitation will be Friday, July 2, 2021 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO. Burial will be in the Henson Cemetery in Theodosia, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Jeremy Cox. Memorials may be made to the family as a love offering.
