Janice Sue Burton, 75 years, 11 months, 21 days old, passed to Heaven on November 18, 2025, at Hartville Care Center in Hartville, Missouri.

On November 28, 1949, Janice Sue was born in Douglas County, Missouri to Warren and Agnes (Huffman) Springs.

Janice and William Thomas "Tommy" Burton were united in marriage on November 13, 1970, in Ava, at the home of Pastor Tom Johnson.  Together they had three children, Mike, Ronnie, and Doug.

She was raised in Douglas County and graduated from Ava High School.  Janice Sue worked as a Nurse Aide at Chastain's Nursing Home in Ava for several years.  She later worked at Emerson Electric until it changed and continued working at Copeland up until her retirement.  Janice Sue was a Christian and attended church whenever she could.  She enjoyed cooking and her grand and great grandkids. That was her biggest joy!

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tommy; three sisters, Doris Liniger, Dora Mae Jones, and Dorothy Swader; and two brothers, Charlie Springs and Clifford Springs.

Janice is survived by her three sons, Mike Burton, Ronnie and Amanda Burton, and Doug Burton; nine grandchildren, Courtney, Cory, Weston, Aaron, Tristin, Levi, Michael, Ethan, and Emma; two great grandchildren; a sister, Lois Lewis, a brother, Randy Springs; many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Graveside services for Janice Sue will be Monday, November 24, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Frye Cemetery, Ava, Missouri, (off of Hwy. JJ).  A visitation will be prior to the service on Monday, November 24th, from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. Officiating will be Reverend Robert Roberts.
