ROBERT EARL HELMS

Robert Earl Helms, 84, of Tecumseh, MO passed away on December 2, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society in Mountain Home, AR.  He was born November 17, 1933 in Oak Grove, West Carroll Parish, Louisiana, the son of Juit H. and Gladys (Chaney) Helms.

On May 15, 1960 Robert was united in marriage to Peggy Ann Davis at Wilson, AR. On June 5, 1970 he was born again at 1 ^st Baptist Church in Adrian MN. Robert was a veteran having served three years in the United States Marine Corps. He then spent 29 years working for Safeway Stores, Inc. most of those as manager. He was pastor of the Calvary Baptist Temple in Gainesville, MO for 13 years. Robert has touched a countless number of lives in his ministry and constant witnessing. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Helms of Tecumseh, MO; one sister Peggy J. Helms of Pine Bluff, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Joe T. Helms.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Frank Mulford officiating. Full Military Honors will follow the service at the funeral home. Visitation will be Thursday from noon to service time. The family will honor Robert's wishes for cremation following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Dr; Mtn Home, AR  72653.
